  • Will your service damage my flexible ducts?

    No. We do not use a rotating brush that may damage your flexible ducts.

  • Can duct contamination really make me sick?

    Yes. According to the Florida Division of Environmental Health, when you see indications of what may be mold or have a musty smell in your home,  you may be presented with an unacceptable health risk. These  health officials’ main concerns include allergic illness and potential  for infection from mycotoxins.

  • Will we be safe in the house while you clean?

    Yes!   No harmful chemicals are used. Our product is a mixture of all natural botanical oils which are safe for people, plants, pets, including fish.  There is no need to leave.  

  • If we have you come back every year, do we really need our UV light?

    A UV light can only kill microbes & mold,  etc. where the light shines and it can take one to two hours to kill 99.9% of the mold using the UV light.  UV Lights are helpful in the area of the AC System where the light is shining. However  the air travels  too fast past the UV light to kill the mold, mold spores and other microbes in the air that travel past the UV light and settle and grow in other parts of the Air Ducts. 

  • Should I take action to prepare for the technicians arrival?

    Yes, please remove all items in and around your washer and dryer for dryer vent cleaning. The dryer should be empty of clothing. When doing Air Duct Cleaning, the space below the air supply needs to be clear so ladders & equipment can access the air supply area. If you have an unfriendly pet, please keep the pet away from the technician.

  • What are the signs my dryer vent needs cleaning?

    • Does your dryer take over 50 min. to dry a load?
    • Is your dryer top surface hot to the touch?
    • Is there humidity / moisture inside the dryer door?
    • Is there dryer lint collecting on the inside of the dryer door?
    • Is there at any time a slight burning smell when drying clothes?
    • Is there a moldy or musty smell on your clothing?

    If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes”, then you should have your dryer duct cleaned.

  • Why is dryer vent cleaning important?

    Dryer exhaust vents should be inspected and cleaned at least once a year. And depending on the size of the household and dryer usage it may need to be cleaned more often.

  • Can I clean my dryer vent?

    If your dryer vents through the wall to directly outside and is relatively short, you can clean it yourself. You will need a dryer vent cleaning brush and a vacuum. If your vent is over 8 feet long you’re going to need someone with specialized equipment, training and experience to do a proper job.

  • How long does the dryer vent cleaning take?

    Most vents can be cleaned in about an hour. Excessive lint buildup and the presence of a birds nest can take additional time.

  • What are the EPA Registration Numbers of the Essential Oil used?

    EPA # 84683 and 87742. Thymox is generic the trade name for Thyme Oil.
